You are ten weeks old this week. We've made it through rough nights, happy mornings and everything in between. I look at you and wonder how you could possibly be so perfect. You make me laugh when you're cranky. When you're impatient. When you're blissfully content to stare at a ceiling fan or a bright light, which you do quite often.
This week your tummy has been hurting you. You've been pretty cranky, but those cranky moments are far outweighed by the smiles you send our way. My favorite part of each day right now besides bath time is early in the morning. You wake up before your Daddy and I do and start talking in your bassinet. It wakes me up and I bring you back to bed with me. It's not quite time for you to eat so we play. You lay in our big bed between us and just jabber away. Staring at me intently and smiling your little heart out.
It completely melts my heart.
Your Daddy wakes up and rolls over and starts to talk to you. It is the cutest thing. How you stare at us. I wonder if you know who we are yet. I think you do. Your bright eyes follow us around the room and look back and forth between us as we talk. I cherish these sweet mornings with you tucked between us...
I love to peek in at you while you're napping during the day. Your little rolls are the cutest ever. Sometimes you peek up at me and keep snoozing.
You are such a handsome little boy with the cutest personality. I love you with my whole entire heart!
This is my next to last week at home with you. I'm trying my very hardest not to even think about it. I know it's going to break my heart in half to leave you during the day. Let's not talk about it right now.
Your Daddy brought you home a prize this week. A Brooks Brothers teddy bear named Brooksie. He has a bow-tie on like your Dad wears most days. A very dapper teddy!
I'm learning how to take you on trips and errands with me. It's a whoooole new world! You're a character! The other day I was starving and wanted a salad from Chickfila so I loaded you up and off we went. Annnnd then your crazy Momma decided she wanted to craft while you napped later that afternoon so I took you in Wal-Mart with me to get yarn. You're probably going to laugh at me when you're old enough to read this. Your Momma took you into Wal-Mart in only a diaper. It makes me laugh to think about it..
You're the best ever, Jonah Knox. I can't imagine life without you. You are our sunshine. Best ten weeks ever. Ever, ever. I love you little munchkin!
Love,
Momma
