TWENTY ONE and TWENTY TWO

Dear Jonah,

We went to Texas and now we're back. You celebrated your very first Thanksgiving surrounded by tons of family that LOVE you more than you understand right now. I know you feel the love though. You were held every moment we were away. Kissed more times that I could count. Hugged. Squeezed. Cuddled. Just loved SO MUCH, sweet boy.

But first, we beached it up, you and I. I mean, I took you to the beach with me while I worked. Or tried to work. Or actually, worked while you napped and slept is a more accurate picture of what happened. Your Momma is fortunate to be blessed with an amazing job that allows me to have some flexability. I was able to take you with me to a retreat in Gulf Shores. The condo we stayed in was amazing. Is beauuutiful. You had a blast...

 

We got home around 9pm Thursday night. I took you to school on Friday and then we came home and packed everything up again. This time we were...

TEXAS BOUND!!!

Your very first Thanksgiving!!

We landed in Houston and spent the day with Mims and Auntie Bell while Daddy was at work. They dropped us off at your Uncle Joel & Aunt Heather's house where we stayed the next couple of nights. You met your sweet cousin Carter for the first time and had the best time playing with your cousins. They love you so much. Kylee thinks you're awesome beacuse you're "like a baby doll, but you're REAL"! I let her pick out your pj's and she helped me give you a bath every night!

Then, on Monday when Dad got off work we headed to Mims and Papa's house. They were anxiously waiting for us!!

 

 

Your Papa built the BIGGEST bonfire on Wednesday night. We had SO much fun. You also took your very first John Deere ride on Meme's lawn mower! We had Thanksgiving lunch at Momo and Popos...

 

 



You were the cutest turkey on the block! The rest of our trip was spent with Ammy & Bacca and the family. We had such fun!!

On Sunday night Daddy took us to the airport. I was so sad to leave Texas and our family. We had the best holiday together!!

I want you to know how much you are loved, little man. Your very first Thanksgiving was FILLED with LOVE. Momma and Daddy love YOU MOST!!!

Jonah,

WE MADE IT ONE WHOLE WEEK WITHOUT DADDY!

One week down, one to go. We got this baby boy!! Your Momma is tired. I'm happy to report that you're sleeping through the night now, so I do get a little break. You wake me up every morning around 5-6am. You're so happy in the mornings!

This week we are going to Gulf Shores. I will be working there and I get to bring you along! I can't wait to let you play in the sand. I'm sure you will try to eat it. You stick everything in your mouth right now and your little jaws are STRONG. I know this because you were trying to chew on my hand!

We've been playing every evening together, and working on your sitting up skills. You're getting there! This past Saturday we went Christmas shopping with Anna, your teacher. She is the sweetest. We had such fun and you were the best little boy. You didn't cry one time! Yesterday evening we watched the Aggies beat Alabama in football. They were undefeated until last night. It was my personal favorite day to live in Alabama. Your Dad was SO happy!!!

He misses us like crazy. We facetime Daddy every night. He loves to talk to you and see if he can make you smile. It's so cute to watch you try to figure out where he's at because you recognize his voice.

We leave for TEXAS this coming Saturday. We will be there the whole week of Thanksgiving!! I am SOOOO excited to see your Dad. He will be thrilled when we land. Mims and Auntie Bell are picking us up from the airport. I can't wait!!

I am so happy you will get to spend your first Thanksgiving in TEXAS, surrounded with family that love your guts! I am so excited!

I love you baby boy. It's the most wonderful time of the year, and you being here makes it SO MUCH BETTER than I could have ever imagined possible!!!

Baby Badger,

Your Daddy left for Texas today (Sunday 11/4) . I am so sad. It's just me and you little baby. We will see him again in thirteen days. The longest thirteen days ever. Ever, ever.

You're getting bigger by the day now it seems. On Thursday, November 1st your very first TOOTH broke thru the skin of your gums. YOU HAVE A TOOTH baby badger. This means you're growing up. I hate it and love it, all at the same time.

I love your little spunky personality. You are the most handsome little man I've ever laid eyes on. You're a happy baby too. Not only did you get a tooth this week, you've also found your VOICE. Almost daily, after I've fed you in the evening you lay on the couch cooing, and almost squealing. It is the cutest sound ever. I try to video it every time I hear it because it's so special. You're realizing that you can make noise and I love it. You're so precious to me Jonah baby. Momma loves you SO very much!

You're going to be sitting up and crawling even before we know it. You hold your head up almost all of the time now, and you're strong! You have a mind of your own (you get that from your Dad. Ha!). If I turn my back for one second you're getting out of your swing. The proud look on your face says it all. You're the cutest little scamp...

I drop you off every morning at school now that Dad's in Texas. I love to watch you play. You really like the exersaucer thingy. All of the bright colors catch your eye. It's so cute. You always give me the biggest smile before I kiss you bye. I know you're in great hands with Miss Anna. She is the sweetest and you LOVE her!
