Baby Badger,
This week was the hardest week for your Momma since you were born. I went back to work on Monday, September 17th bright and early at 8am. Mims came home from the beach with us and will be here keeping you company for two weeks. Her being here is the best gift I could ask for. Sunday night I was absolutely beside myself. It's not that I hate work, or I hate my job. I certainly don't. I haven't been away from you for a single day since you came into the world and I knew it was going to be tough!
Trying really, really hard not to cry I made it to work on time and got settled in. The day flew by, each day after than continued to get better. I made it the entire week! Each day at work I'm designing products (pillows, bedding, tote bags, scarves, tunics, etc..) and I love it. I had a ton of photos made so I can look at your adorable face throughout the day.
Your sweet Daddy sent me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers for my first week back at work. They were from you and him and looking at them this week made me so happy!
I love looking up and realizing that it's 4pm. Time to go home and see your happy little face. I love your drooly, gummy smile. It makes my heart so very happy! That is absoltely the best part of my day, coming home to see YOU (I know your Daddy feels the same way that I do!!)...
This weekend feels like it has been extra special because I worked all week long. It feels like I cherish the moments more. Your smiles and just basic things like feeding you. I've spent every second with you since I got off work at 4pm on Friday. It feels so good.
Reunited with my precious little baby boy.
I love you, Jonah. Even though we're apart more during the week you're always on my mind. I love you more than you could ever possibly imagine. You're my little chunky.

TWELVE
Jonah,
On the twelth week of your life you went on your very first beach vacay with Momma, Daddy and your grandparents, Papa and Mims (and Auntie Bell). We drove four hours to Rosemary Beach, Florida and stayed in a beautiful two-story beach house for the entire week. We had so much fun with you and made amazing memories that I will cherish forever...

I return to work on Monday. I can't bear to talk about it in the same post as our vacation so I will save it for next week.
You're 12th week was FILLED to the brim with vacation fun. My favorite vacation memory was feeding you early in the morning on the patio of our beach house. The weather was perfect all week and felt like fall. Fall at the beach. There isn't anything better.
Love you so many bunch baby boy!

ELEVEN
Badger,
Your eleventh week was spent with both me and your Daddy! We had such fun!! Dad took off the majority of the week to hang out with us. We're heading to the beach next week and then I have to go back to work (can't even begin to think about that right now) so he wanted to spend some time with us before the madness begins...
We slept in most mornings and then headed out to go on thrifting adventures. Daddy and I had lots of Starbucks and you snoozed while we dug for treasures (Ooookay, your Dad did most of the digging. All of the digging. I just watched you and watched all of the very interesting people in the thrift stores). We had a fun week together!!...
We took you to the doctor on Wednesday afternoon for your two-month check up. I knew you had to get shots so I was dreading the appointment! Momma hates to see you cry. Daddy went with us and was my hero. You got four shots in your little chunky legs and were SUCH a champ!! You are so brave little badger.
I'm excited to take you to the beach on your very first family vacation next week! I bought you a swim diaper, swim hat and a cute little shirt. I washed it all and then tried it on you to make sure it fit.You were NOT a happy camper, Jonah Knox. I don't think you liked your speedo and swim bonnet AT ALL...
I love making memories with you every day. I'm learning so many things about being a Momma. Honestly, all I can think about is returning to work and leaving you every day. The time is getting closer and I can't hardly bear to think about it. I love spending my days with you. Feeding you, being there when you wake up from your naps. It breaks my heart to think about leaving you. You are absolutely the most precious thing to me. Ever, ever.
I broke out your lion hat this week for the first time. It's starting to feel a little bit like fall outside and I couldn't resist letting you wear it...
You are the cutest little boy I've ever met. Smitten I am.
I can't believe how big you're getting. You weight 14.6 pounds and you're about 2 feet long!! You love to chug-a-lug your milk and you're still happy when you wake up from your naps (not so happy before you take them these day. You LOVE to fight sleep right now!!). When I hear you stirring, I sit you up on our bed, prop you up on our pillows and talk to you. I love all of your little facial expressions...
You're perfect to me. Love you to the moon and back sweet boy!

TEN
Jonah,
You are ten weeks old this week. We've made it through rough nights, happy mornings and everything in between. I look at you and wonder how you could possibly be so perfect. You make me laugh when you're cranky. When you're impatient. When you're blissfully content to stare at a ceiling fan or a bright light, which you do quite often.
This week your tummy has been hurting you. You've been pretty cranky, but those cranky moments are far outweighed by the smiles you send our way. My favorite part of each day right now besides bath time is early in the morning. You wake up before your Daddy and I do and start talking in your bassinet. It wakes me up and I bring you back to bed with me. It's not quite time for you to eat so we play. You lay in our big bed between us and just jabber away. Staring at me intently and smiling your little heart out.
It completely melts my heart.
Your Daddy wakes up and rolls over and starts to talk to you. It is the cutest thing. How you stare at us. I wonder if you know who we are yet. I think you do. Your bright eyes follow us around the room and look back and forth between us as we talk. I cherish these sweet mornings with you tucked between us...
I love to peek in at you while you're napping during the day. Your little rolls are the cutest ever. Sometimes you peek up at me and keep snoozing.
You are such a handsome little boy with the cutest personality. I love you with my whole entire heart!

This is my next to last week at home with you. I'm trying my very hardest not to even think about it. I know it's going to break my heart in half to leave you during the day. Let's not talk about it right now.
Your Daddy brought you home a prize this week. A Brooks Brothers teddy bear named Brooksie. He has a bow-tie on like your Dad wears most days. A very dapper teddy!
I'm learning how to take you on trips and errands with me. It's a whoooole new world! You're a character! The other day I was starving and wanted a salad from Chickfila so I loaded you up and off we went. Annnnd then your crazy Momma decided she wanted to craft while you napped later that afternoon so I took you in Wal-Mart with me to get yarn. You're probably going to laugh at me when you're old enough to read this. Your Momma took you into Wal-Mart in only a diaper. It makes me laugh to think about it..
You're the best ever, Jonah Knox. I can't imagine life without you. You are our sunshine. Best ten weeks ever. Ever, ever. I love you little munchkin!
Love,
Momma
